  Panelists: Genti Kruja; Veton Tulla Moderator: Elton Karaj Topic: Within the anniversary of the independence of Albania, Center of Islamic Studies at the University "Hëna e Plotë" - Bedër organized the panel "Patriotism in Islam. Attending the panel was also the Director of Culture in the Muslim Community of Albania, Genti Kruja, who spoke on the contribution of Muslim leaders in the national cause. He said that throughout history Albania has been an example of how people of faith have been able to correctly solve the trust relationship with the nation. "Hundreds of Muslim scholars have given their irreplaceable contribution to the history of our country, the great movements for freedom and independence, education and aspirations in the construction of national identity, the preservation of universal values and heritage of the great Islamic cultural harmony and coexistence of Albanians ", said Mr. Kruja. While Veton Tulla theologian, professor at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the University Bedër, said that human connection with his homeland and the country is a matter of deep rooted in the soul. "Love for one's country is planted in the souls instinct, which makes quiet man when standing on it and tearful to the outside and away from him. Homeland is birthplace, is the place of life, place of worship, place of wealth and goods, place of pride; there lives, there worships Allah, and with His blessing lives ", stressed. Mr. Tulla. 

Dialogue in the Footsteps of Abraham (Pbuh)

  Interfaith Dialogue in Islam: The Example of Albania  Panelists: Klodian Shehi; Dr. Genti Kruja Moderator: Dr. Atakan Derelioğlu Topic: The panel titled “Dialogue in The Footsteps of Abraham (pbuh)” was organized by Beder Center of Islamic Studies and has taken place in the Conference room under the subheading “Interfaith Dialogue in Islam: The Example of Albania” Klodian Shehi the Deputy Head of Muslim Community of Albania elaborated on the topic of Interfaith Dialogue in Islam from the perspective of Islamic history. Dr. Genti Kruja: The Director of The Culture and Interfaith Dialogue in Department of Muslim Community of Albania and Chief Editor of “Zani I Nalte” magazine presented a socio-historical overview on interreligious harmony and tolerance in Albania.

Blessed Days and Times in Islam (I)

Fasting and Health (I)  Panelists: Elton Karaj; Sabri Raza Topic: During the month of Ramadan Muslims eat a pre-dawn breakfast and do not eat or drink anything until dusk. The panelists elaborated on the physiological effect of fasting which includes lower of blood sugar, lowering of cholesterol and lowering of the systolic blood pressure. In fact, Ramadan fasting would be an ideal recommendation for treatment of mild to moderate, stable, non-insulin diabetes, obesity and essential hypertension.

Blessed Days and Times in Islam (II)

The Last Ten Days of Ramadan and Laylat Al-Qadr (The Night of Power) (II) Panelists: Elton Karaj; Ali Zaimi Topic: The panelists elaborated on the Night of Power is the night that the first revelation of the Qur'an was sent down to the Prophet Muhammad. Muslims are instructed to “seek” the Night of Power during the last ten days of Ramadan. Muslims worldwide spend the last ten nights of Ramadan in solid devotion, retreating to the mosque to read Qur'an (i'tikaf), reciting special supplications (du'a), and reflecting on the meaning of Allah's message to us. It is believed to be a time of intense spirituality, when the believers are surrounded by angels, the gates of heaven are open, and God's blessings and mercy are abundant. 

Blessed Days and Times in Islam (III)

Prayer and the Blessed Three Months In Islam (III) Panelists: Omer ÇALIŞ; Bujar SPAHIU; Dorian DEMETJA Topic: BEDER Center of Islamic Studies organized a panel to welcome coming blessed times in the Islamic calendar. The panel has been titled mainly with “The Blessed Times”. The specific title peculiar to this panel was “Prayer and The Blessed Three Months in Islam”. There were three panelists who are:Omer ÇALIŞ: The director of Madrasa of Tirana “Haxhi Mahmud Dashi”. His topic was about “The concept of Prayer (Dua) in Islam”.Bujar SPAHIU: The Deputy Head of Muslim Community of Albania. His topic was about “Three Blessed Months”.Dorian DEMETJA: Director of Human Resources. His topic was about” The Blessed Days and Nights in the three Blessed Months”.The panel attracted the attention of students from different departments.This panel has become a warm welcome of BEDER family for the coming blessed times. 

The Exemplary Life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) and Human Dignity and Value (I) Panelist: Dr. Atakan Derelioğlu Topic: The Director of Bedër Center of Islamic Studies (BECIS) Mr. Atakan Derelioğlu attended a symposium titled “PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Pbuh) and HUMAN DIGNITY and VALUE” organized by Komuniteti Mysliman i Shqipërisë. His topic was the Islamic Social Justice and The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The topic of justice is of central importance for each of us. He elaborated on social justice and development as being like a whole completing each other for the healthy development of a moral and just society. 

Dialogue from Islamic Theological Perspective

Panel Discussion Moderator: Fr. Mario Imperatore sj, in Scutari since 2000 where he is the dean of the Institute of Philosophy and Theology of Seminary Mgr. George Frendo op. He was born in 1946 in Qormi (Malta) and has been appointed in 2006 by Popo Benedict XVI as the Auxiliary Bishop of the diocese of Tiranë- Durrës. He has been a President of the Conference of Religious of Albania and Councilor of UCESM. Arkimandrit Kozma Sovjani, representing the Orthodox Church Dr. Atakan Derelioglu, lecturer at the Islamic Sciences Department of the Bedër University (Tirana). Director of the Bedër Center of Islamic Studies Dr. Atakan Derelioglu participated an International conference organized by “Zoja e Keshillit të Mirë” University (Tirana).  He approached the concept of dialogue within the format of following questions. What are the basis of dialogue in the Qur’an and Sunnah? What are the examples of Prophet Muhammad (pubh)? Why do we need dialogue in our globalized and shrunken world? He shed light on the answers of these questions during his speech. 

Program on the occasion of the blessed night of Beraet

 Program on the occasion of the blessed night of Beraet Message of Life Club in cooperation with the Club of Music and the Center of Islamic Studies at the Higher School of Full Moon "Badr" a program organized on the occasion of the Beraetit good night. In this program the guests was the deputy of the Muslim Community of Albania Mr. Ali Zaimi who spoke about the importance and values conveyed by this magnificent night based on the hadith of Prophet Muhammad (SAS). Also another guest was the Mufti of Kruje City Mr. Ledian Cikalleshi who spoke about the seven groups that will be under the shadow of the Throne of Allah on the Day of Judgment, staying more specifically on youth and how to use it. He also spoke about the Blessed month of Ramadan and how we should expect it.
